Welcome

Welcome to New Path Education, right here in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. We believe alternative provision should be more than just a safety net, it should be a place where young people feel understood, supported and inspired. Our approach is bold and flexible, designed for students who may find traditional school environments overwhelming or simply not the right fit. We’re here to meet them where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

Our Mission

At New Path Education, we provide a bespoke and nurturing environment designed to meet the individual needs of young people who may experience challenges with learning, attendance, or social and emotional wellbeing.

We also provide personalised educational support for Electively Home Educated (EHE) pupils, offering flexible, tailored programmes that complement home learning while promoting wellbeing, confidence and meaningful engagement. Our flexible, person-centred approach is built on truly understanding each pupil - who they are, what they need and how they learn best.

By blending emotional support, personalised learning and practical life skills, we help students reconnect with education, grow in confidence and take meaningful steps forward.

As an Alternative Provision, we provide tailored support for pupils from KS1 to KS4 who may be struggling with school attendance or social and emotional challenges, helping them to feel confident and re-engage with learning.

Our Support Model

Flexible & Personalised Academic Curriculum

Our Core Academic Curriculum is fully flexible and personalised, meeting each pupil at their current level of ability and confidence, rather than strictly by age or key stage. We focus on building core skills in a way that feels accessible, meaningful, and engaging.

Emotional Literacy & Wellbeing

Supporting emotional development is at the heart of what we do. Our Emotional Wellbeing & Resilience programme helps pupils rebuild confidence, develop self-awareness, and manage their emotions in healthy ways.

Life Skills &
Independence

From cooking healthy meals and managing money to learning how to travel safely and keep on top of routines, we support each young person to build independence at their own pace.
