Supporting Home-Educated Learners through tailored Alternative Provision
At New Path Education we offer a nurturing and flexible Alternative Provision setting designed to support Electively Home Educated (EHE) pupils through personalised learning, emotional wellbeing and collaborative family partnerships.
What We Offer
Flexible Timetables
We understand that every child’s journey is unique. Our timetables are fully adaptable to meet individual needs.
Emotional Support
Our dedicated team delivers targeted emotional literacy support (ELSA), social-emotional learning programmes, and mindfulness-based activities to promote resilience and wellbeing.
Personalised Learning Plans
Each pupil follows a bespoke academic programme blending the core curriculum with their own interests, built around ability, not just age or key stage.
Home-School Liaison
We work closely with families to ensure open communication, collaborative goal setting, and regular progress reviews. Parents remain active partners in the educational journey.
Safe, Calm Learning Spaces
Our setting includes sensory-friendly rooms and emotionally responsive staff to help pupils feel secure, valued and ready to learn.
Who Supports Your Child?
Our provision is led by qualified and experienced teachers, who tailor learning to each pupil’s needs and abilities. They are supported by a compassionate, multi-skilled team that includes:

-
Mental health-trained key workers
-
ELSA practitioners (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants)
-
SENDCo involvement to guide provision for pupils with additional needs
-
Trauma-informed mentors and support staff

Together, our team creates a supportive, high-quality learning environment where every young person is seen, heard and empowered to thrive.
Our Curriculum
We provide a flexible, ability-based core curriculum that supports confidence and engagement:
English – Short texts, creative writing, spoken language tasks (like podcasts and journaling).
Maths – Functional numeracy and practical problem-solving (e.g. budgeting, cooking, real-life applications).
Science – Practical, hands-on science (e.g. kitchen chemistry, nature walks).
Digital Skills – ICT and online safety, coding (low-stress, self-paced tools like Scratch or Tynker).

All content is delivered at a pace and level tailored to the pupil’s current strengths, interests and goals.
